|Recommended: YesGreat, clean place, but neighbors can be a little noisy — I lived in this building for about two and a half years, and I haven't had many complaints about living here. Maintenance staff is quick to respond, the building is clean and it's very close to everything. The only thing is that the building houses mostly young professionals, and they can get a little noisy some weeknights. Overall, great experience.

|Recommended: YesGreat location, awesome staff, beautiful apartment — I have been at this apartment for about 5 months and can honestly say I love it. I have my own bathroom and walk in closet, a balcony, a big kitchen and living area. It really feels like home. The office has always been accommodating and responsive, especially the manager Lorna, as is the maintenance staff Every time I have submitted a request, it has been fulfilled within 24 hours. The location is perfect and quiet, close to the Metro and city but still has great neighborhoods surrounding the complex. I cannot recommend Birchwood enough.

|Recommended: YesVery well organized apartment complex — Lovely apartment building with super nice and helpful property manager and maintenance staff. It's a great spot to stay in since there are only decent people living at Birchwood and everything is well organized.
|Recommended: YesI will miss it — I would tell them that it is a quiet and comfortable building that is conveniently located right in between Ballston and VA Square metro stations. I never heard my neighbors, maintenance requests were always handled within 24 hours, and the leasing office was helpful. I would also say that it's paining me to move out, and I'm hoping to move back in again if I find a roommate .

|Recommended: YesGreat location, comfortable apt — I have lived here almost two years and I love it. I live in the old building . Great location, near two metro stations VA square and Ballston. All you might need is within walking distance supermarkets, drugstores, department store, restaurants, car shops, churches, cafes, post office, hardware stores, yoga studios, library. The layout of the apartment is very convenient, since both bedrooms are separate from each other. Comfortable bathrooms. Open space concept. Kitchen is not big but comfortable. Not very modern, but everything looks nice and works well. I love the balcony and that all rooms are very bright. The balcony is spacious enough to have a small sitting arrangement. It's really cute. The gym is not huge, but the space is enough for 5 to 6 people to workout at the same time. The gym has everything you need.
I have no issues with noise. My neighbors party often but I don't hear a thing. Maybe I'm a heavy sleeper. Office staff is very polite and courteous. Work orders are solved the very same day, and maintenance staff is very professional and efficient. I would definitely recomend Birchwood Apartments. In fact, a friend wanted to move here but no three bedroom apartments were available at that time. She ended up living three blocks away. Also, Dittmar and she loves it, too.
